Birmingham City is up 2-1 over Liverpool at the half.

Find the highlights when you get home. Brum’s second was a wonder goal by Cameron Jerome while he was being manhandled by Javier Mascherano. Amazing.

I’ve been keeping tabs via Gamecast. I can’t wait for highlights! I’m hoping there’ll be some on either Sky Sports or Fox Soccer Report tonight. Is it bad that I take such delight in Liverpool’s crap record so far this season? Because it really makes me freakin’ happy. ;)

Crap. I forgot to DVR the Liverpool match.

DOH!

Oh Chris Toy…that’s all sorts of wrong.
Hilarious, but wrong.

Great. That means a few more weeks out of the Chelsea squad. :/ Hopefully we get Bosingwa back by then.

Morning!!
Spicing things up today, just for my favorite Gooners.
How much do you love this photo? It’s all sorts of amazing.

Oddly enough, that photo was taken in my back yard.

And what animal costume were you wearing, hmmmm?

The correct answer here is lutefisk. I was dressed like a lutefisk.
WAY TOO MUCH COFFEE TODAY SO FAR

Hahahaha. Love it. If you would like to throw a little coffee my way, you’d officially be my favorite person ever. NOT ENOUGH COFFEE THIS MORNING!

Bradley Names USMNT Roster

After today’s Liverpool v. Birmingham match, we’ve entered everyone’s FAVORITE part of the year…the interlull. <insertgroanhere> Didn’t we just have an interlull? At least it’s the last one of 2009.

The US squad gets Deuce back after his hamstring injury, but are without a number of starters due to the MLS Playoffs (Donovan, Holden, Ching, etc) and injuries (DeMerit, Gooch). Conor Casey <insertlongergroanhere> is included. Again. Super.

Some new faces in the squad, mostly from FC Dallas. It’ll also be a good opportunity for Villa reserve keeper Brad Guzan to get some playing time. He did well in the Confed Cup, and since Timmy Howard wasn’t named in the squad, he should get the start for the US match against Slovakia and Denmark.

Good news US fans…both matches will be broadcast on tv and in English!! The Slovakia match on Nov. 14th is on FSC, and the match against Denmark on the 18th on ESPN. In major news, the powerhouse friendly, England v. Brazil will also be on tv FOR FREE! No need for paperview kids. It’ll be on FSC. Should be a cracker!

On to the squad…

U.S. ROSTER BY POSITION
GOALKEEPERS (3): Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Marcus Hahnemann (Wolverhampton), Troy Perkins (Valerenga)
DEFENDERS (9): Carlos Bocanegra (Rennes), Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover), Jimmy Conrad (Kansas City Wizards), Clarence Goodson (IK Start), Frankie Hejduk (Columbus Crew), Chad Marshall (Columbus Crew), Heath Pearce (FC Dallas), Jonathan Spector (West Ham)
MIDFIELDERS (6): Michael Bradley (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Clint Dempsey (Fulham), Benny Feilhaber (AGF Aarhus), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Dax McCarty (FC Dallas), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew)
FORWARDS (4): Jozy Altidore (Hull City), Conor Casey (Colorado Rapids), Jeff Cunningham (FC Dallas), Eddie Johnson (Fulham)

Meg, Greg, and I went to see this last night.
Gerard Butler and Jamie Fox were brilliant. Especially Butler. His charcter reminds me of a lot of Anthony Hopkins characters…brilliant, manipulative, slightly insane, and a twisted sense of humor. Lots of action, very intense, and an interesting commentary on the flaws of the judiciary system in this country.
Go see it. My only complaint…you can hear the hint of Butler’s accent at certain times. The Scottish brogue is a little hard to overcome at times. ;) Minor though.
