After today’s Liverpool v. Birmingham match, we’ve entered everyone’s FAVORITE part of the year…the interlull. <insertgroanhere> Didn’t we just have an interlull? At least it’s the last one of 2009.

The US squad gets Deuce back after his hamstring injury, but are without a number of starters due to the MLS Playoffs (Donovan, Holden, Ching, etc) and injuries (DeMerit, Gooch). Conor Casey <insertlongergroanhere> is included. Again. Super.

Some new faces in the squad, mostly from FC Dallas. It’ll also be a good opportunity for Villa reserve keeper Brad Guzan to get some playing time. He did well in the Confed Cup, and since Timmy Howard wasn’t named in the squad, he should get the start for the US match against Slovakia and Denmark.

Good news US fans…both matches will be broadcast on tv and in English!! The Slovakia match on Nov. 14th is on FSC, and the match against Denmark on the 18th on ESPN. In major news, the powerhouse friendly, England v. Brazil will also be on tv FOR FREE! No need for paperview kids. It’ll be on FSC. Should be a cracker!

On to the squad…
