Back in the #themesong groove: Summer Nights. Confession time. Part of me really wanted to post that song from Grease. Anyway, back to the song at hand!

The first time I ever heard Matt Nathanson was a summer evening driving around in Kayla’s car. She had heard him play at Virginia Tech, and bought his live album (Live at the Point!). I was skeptical at first, but it took all of 2 minutes for me to love him. If you’ve ever seen him play, or just listened to his live album, you’ll know that not only is this guy really talented, but he’s also hilarious. He’s got a great sense of humor, and keeps you entertained the entire time he’s on stage.

This track is off his new album, Modern Love. It’s different than a lot of his other songs. It’s more upbeat. It’s really catchy, and fun. It’s been playing in my car all summer, and every time I hear it I think about driving around in Kay’s car with the windows down and not a care in the world.
