Steed Malbranque hasn't retired, and his son doesn't have cancer.

sevenoneseven:

Don’t know if any of you saw this, but yesterday everywhere was running the story that Steed Malbranque was quitting football aged 31 to care for his son after he developed cancer. Contrary to these stories, he isn’t retiring. His son doesn’t have cancer. Because he doesn’t have a son.

Got to say it’s a worrying indictment of football journalism when something this badly wrong can be so widely reported as fact.

Stu Holden is moving to Chelsea?!?!

I read it on Twitter, so it must be true!!!

Journalists will do anything to get a headline and a story these days. It’s sad. I’m not surprised after the Mail ran with a Dirty Tackle article as if it were real news, instead of a joke like it was intended.
